Cheeky Full Brief Feeling Pretty Overview

Cheeky Full Brief Period pants are your traditional "period pants" with a twist. They come with 4 layers of absorbency in the gusset and up the back to give you total reassurance against leaks.  They can be used on their own on light days or used as back up for a cup, tampon or even a pad. The pants are also suitable for light incontinence and ideal for sports.

Fantastic for wearing in bed, you won't leak through and have to change your bedding because lets face it, no one likes to wake up in a bloodbath!

They wash really well too, just soak and then cold wash.

Features

The body of the pant is nylon and elastane (75%/25%) and the lining and the middle layer are cotton/elastane (95%/5%).  With 4 layers to give you maximum protection but also keeping you comfortable:

  • moisture wicking
  • highly absorbent
  • never leak
  • breathable fabric

As with any sanitary option, if you're using these as your only means of protection, we recommend that you change them during the day, just like you would a pad or tampon.

Pants FAQ's

How many pairs of period pants do I need?

We tend to find that 5-7 pairs of underwear are enough for the average cycle.  2 Night time pairs and 3-5 day time pairs means that you have enough to wash every other day and ensure that they dry in time for their next use.

Machine Washing Period Underwear.

Washing period pants in the washing machine is the most effective way to care for your undies.

Here is a basic guide to wash period pants:

  1. When you remove your used underwear rinse them thoroughly with cold water till the water runs clear. You can gently rub them to help remove as much blood as possible.
  2. Either pop them in your normal washing with other clothes or store them in a wet bag until wash day.
  3. Wash on a cold wash at either 30 or 40deg. You can use your normal detergent but avoid fabric softener.

Most companies will advise you to avoid harsh chemicals, fabric conditioner and tumble drying, as eventually it will lead to a shorter life span and issues with performance.

Budget friendly and absorbent

#period lady ambassador. Having tried many brands and types of period pants, these are my least favourite out of the brands available. The positives is these suit any budget and look good with the lace top which is great for feeling more feminine and pretty on a period or postpartum. Function wise these are also great for absorbency and when I’ve used on either my period or postpartum as a back up for cloth period pads I’ve never had any leaks. Period pants are a genius idea and are great for periods and for a back up for postpartum period pads. So far my first cheeky pants have lasted 18 months and still going strong on absorbency and function.
Where I have rated it as a 3/5 however is on comfort when compared to other brands - the material on the outer edge of the knickers was uncomfortable and irritating when using these for postpartum use. When I’ve used these for periods in the past I haven’t had this issue before but these were the only pants which caused the irritation postnatally (unsure whether it’s due to the increased sensitivity postnatally). The other issue I have is the noise. These almost have a slight rustle to them with the material they are made from - something which when I’ve asked others before they can’t hear but for me I can hear it particularly when pulling up/down (ie going to the toilet). This isn’t an issue I have with any other brand of period pants.
Overall these are a budget friendly pair of period pants and will suit any budget.

Very low-cut, but does the job.

I ordered a size down from my normal underwear, in line with the advice on the page, and though they fit they are much more like bikini bottoms than mid-rise knickers. Maybe I just like really big pants, but these feel extremely low cut. Nevertheless, they perform well during a longish run but I’m not sure they would be comfortable for much more time than that.

I’ve been using these from a couple of days post partum as I normally use a cup for periods. I’ve been impressed how absorbent they are and far more comfortable than disposable pads. Also look a lot nicer!
